Therapists

Dominika Rzewuska-Owsińska
Psychologist and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist, working with adults.
I graduated in Psychology from SWPS University in Warsaw. I am currently enrolled in a four-year Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy training program at Centrum CBT, recommended and accredited by the Polish Society for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy.
I gained clinical experience through psychodynamic psychotherapy internships at the “Archetypes” Psychotherapy and Group Analysis Center, working as a consultant for the Blue Line Crisis Helpline at the Institute of Health Psychology, and as a psychotherapist in private therapy centers. I also have experience working in a business environment within international teams and in HR-related roles, which helps me better understand the challenges faced by professionals and corporate employees.
In my therapeutic work, I primarily use a cognitive-behavioral approach while also drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy. I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques as well.
Therapy with me involves a lot of conversation and not many awkward moments of silence. The first few sessions focus on assessment and understanding the client’s history, current difficulties, and expectations. Together, we build a case conceptualization — a framework that helps us understand the present situation in the context of past experiences and personal factors.
During the process, and always in agreement with the client, I may suggest exercises or tasks to work on between sessions. Therapy can be concluded when the client feels they have achieved the desired changes and their overall daily functioning has improved.
In every therapeutic process, building a strong relationship based on trust, understanding, and safety is my top priority, as this creates the foundation for effective work.
What I value most about the cognitive-behavioral approach is its collaborative nature — clients are treated as active partners and co-creators of the therapeutic process. I appreciate clear communication and setting goals together. This approach offers practical tools for working with thoughts, regulating emotions, and developing effective coping strategies for challenges such as anxiety disorders, depression or social anxiety.
I focus on the “here and now,” connecting therapy to clients’ everyday lives outside the sessions and supporting meaningful, real-life changes.
I work with individuals experiencing emotional crises, low mood and depression, anxiety and stress, relationship difficulties, work-related challenges and burnout, low self-esteem, personality disorders, trauma, eating disorders and difficulties with food relationships, anxiety disorders. I am also happy to provide support to LGBTQ+ clients.
Clients appreciate my collaborative approach, in which they are treated as co-authors of the therapeutic process, for clear communication and jointly setting therapeutic goals, as well as for the valuable methods I use to work with thoughts, regulate emotions, and apply proven strategies for coping with challenges.
Take care of your mental health!
