Therapists

Aleksandra Peczsz-Okońska
Integrative psychotherapist working individually with adults.
I completed a two-year Process-Oriented Psychotherapy course at the Institute of Process Psychology. I am currently continuing my education at the four-year School of Integrative Psychotherapy at the Silva Rerum Health and Development Centre in Warsaw. I am a recommended therapist of the Polish Society for Integrative Psychotherapy. I conduct therapy in Polish and English.
I regularly participate in training courses, workshops and seminars to deepen my knowledge and improve my therapeutic skills. These include a course in trauma therapy, a course in complex trauma therapy, training in working with people experiencing anxiety, mood, and psychosomatic disorders, and workshops on the Somatic Experiencing method. I have also received training in differentiating ADHD, CHAD, and borderline personality disorder and attended workshops on working with dreams and the body, including mindfulness, focusing, dance, and theatrical improvisation.
I gained experience through clinical internships and private practice. I also worked for many years in corporations, administration and international organisations.
I take an integrative approach, using methods from various modalities, including humanistic-experiential, Gestalt and process psychology. This means that I work with verbal material, unconscious content and bodily experiences. This enables me to adapt my approach to the individual needs and sensitivities of each patient. However, the relationship I build with the patient is the foundation of the treatment process.
It is very important to create an atmosphere that is safe, empathetic, accepting and understanding. As a psychotherapist, I support my clients in broadening their insight and making sense of difficult emotions. I help them to discover their inner resources, which they can then use to strengthen their balance, sense of emotional security and empowerment.
I support adults experiencing mental health crises, grief, mood disorders (e.g. depression and emotional instability), a lack of motivation, and those struggling with issues such as job loss, workplace bullying, burnout, trauma and complex trauma. I also support people with anxiety disorders (e.g. panic attacks and social anxiety), and those who have difficulty forming relationships or are experiencing marital, parental or divorce crises. I support people searching for meaning and their own path in life.
Patients appreciate the warm and accepting atmosphere I create during sessions, as well as my commitment and interesting working techniques.
Take care of your mental health!
